About This Piece

One of the earliest sculptures found in Bernard’s studio, Copper Colt, although undated, is believed to pre-date the Ashburton Life Group period. Potentially made in the late 1980s it is one of the rare sculptural pieces made during the transition from painting to sculpture as his specialism, and before the adoption of driftwood as the principle medium.
